Buying beef in bulk sounds complicated — hanging weights, processing fees, cut sheets. It doesn’t have to be. This guide explains, in plain language, how beef shares work, how much beef your family will actually get, and what it costs with us: one clear total, with no surprises.
What is a beef share?
A beef share is simply a portion of one whole animal, butchered and packed for your freezer. Instead of buying one steak at a time at retail prices, you buy a quarter, a half, or a whole beef at once — and you get every cut from that share in proportion: premium steaks, roasts, ribs, stew beef and ground beef.
The four shares, and who they’re for
- 1/8 Beef — $410 total. The easy way to try bulk beef. Ideal for singles, couples, or a first order.
- 1/4 Beef — $787 total. A great fit for a small family that eats beef regularly.
- 1/2 Beef — $1,550 total. Our most popular share for families — approximately 200 lbs of beef.
- Whole Beef — $2,600 total. The best value per pound. For large families, or two households splitting one order.
Every total above is the total you pay. Processing, packaging, delivery and shipping are already included — no per-pound math, no extra fees at checkout.
What cuts do you get?
A balanced share of the whole animal, so you receive the full range in proportion:
- Premium steaks — ribeye, New York strip, sirloin, filet mignon
- Roasts — chuck, rump, sirloin tip and shoulder
- Ground beef — in convenient 2 lb packs
- Family favourites — brisket, short ribs, stew beef, skirt and flank steak, oxtail and more
All of our beef is 100% organic, grass-fed and grass-finished, with no antibiotics, no hormones and no GMOs — vacuum-sealed to stay fresh in your freezer for months.
How much freezer space do you need?
As a guide, plan on a dedicated chest freezer for a 1/2 or Whole Beef. The smaller shares (1/8 and 1/4) need much less room. If you’re not sure, call us and we’ll help you match the share to the freezer you have.
